SFPA began in 1979 as a way to provide a local forum for ideas relating to the paralegal profession. In 1993 SFPA became an affiliate of (NALA) and continues to work diligently to enhance the competence and effective use of professional paralegals through education, active participation in the legal community and forming alliances with local and state bar associations.

Members receive access to low-cost monthly luncheon seminars with CLAE credits, an informative newsletter, information regarding numerous exclusive events and much more.

The Paralegal Profession is one of the most rapidly growing fields in America according to the United States Department of Labor and South Florida has one of the largest populations of CLAs and CPs in the US.
